Formed in 2006, the Three’s a Crowd duo boasts the unusual combination of tenor saxophone and acoustic bass. Saxophonist Rafael Karlen and bassist Georgia Weber have worked together professionally since 2002 when they were both students at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and have performed with many of Australia’s finest musicians including John Hoffman, Tony Gould, John Morrison and with Jim Pugh from New York. They have performed at a very broad range of functions for clients including Brisbane International Film Festival, Tiffany and Co., Moet and Hennessey, Toll Priority Bulgari and at venues ranging from the Gallery of Modern Art, aircraft hangers, movie cinemas, and beaches.
